Posters for Senior Prom!! Just a little creative jaunt into decor for Circus de Soleil. Courtney was in charge of the games so we made some fun signage to get everyone excited to try them out.

J-man is definitely a worth-while prize!

Spring Surprise

Wednesday, April 10, 2013

Look what I found on my doorstep! Wrapped in robin-egg blue, tissue paper with a cute, fluffy owl that is so springy. What a sweet surprise! An anonymous gift that brightened my day. Of course, I ripped it open before even thinking of taking a picture but here is the recreation. A fun notepad from a thoughtful friend.

Just Do It!

Thursday, September 29, 2011

I have been thinking a lot about faith and the fact that it is an action verb! You have to EXERCISE faith. That means get up off the couch and move. How often do I go to church, listen to the talks, think to myself I really should work on that and then go home and forget all about it? More times than I want to admit.

I am making a goal to take a concept I learned in church and apply it to my life during the week. Actively work on it! If the concept is service, I will purposely plot out a plan to provide as much service as I can during that week.

I'm hoping to make my faith stronger through exercise.

Let's Set Some Goals!

Monday, March 28, 2011

I took at course at BYU that had me identify and set goals. Here are some of the important points I learned.
  • Write it down!
  • Be Specific. Be Very Specific.
  • Measure! Make sure you can evaluate progress -- It has to end sometime! You should be able to accomplish the goal within a healthy timeframe.
  • It should stretch you! Go for the challenge!!
  • It needs to fit into your life and your value system.
Do not make a goal an activity. Establish the overall goals for your life. Then establish long-term and short-term goals. Then create daily or weekly activities that will get you there.

I will (do what specifically) by doing (what activities) When? Where? How?

Go for it!

Thursday, March 24, 2011

"I am so thoroughly convinced that if we don't set goals in our life and learn how to master the technique of living to reach our goals, we can reach a ripe old age and look back on our life only to see that we reached but a small part of our full potential. When you learn to master the principle of setting a goal, you will then be able to make a great difference in the results you attain in this life."
-M. Russell Ballard "Go for it!," New Era, Mar 2004

This is Your Life!

This is your life, your one-and-only life. You determine how it will turn out. You decide what's possible. You choose everyday how you want to live.

I just purchased a wonderful book called "Where will you be five years from today? written by Dan Zadra. I wanted to document my progress on a blog of my journey for the next five years. I hope this will motivate me to be the best I can and to live my life to the fullest. I'm looking forward to the journey!
